What Clients Have to Say...
Hi, I’m Rachel Taylor
I grew up in Las Vegas, Nevada where I was fortunate enough to be surrounded by high level athletes, friends, and family. My number 1 sport was track & field in which I still compete at the semi-professional level. I also swam competitively, golfed, played and coached tennis and played every other sport you can imagine in my youth and adolescence. If you can’t find me on the track or in the gym, I’m either reading, watching reality dating shows, or outdoors with my boyfriend.
I received my Bachelor's of Science in Biomedical Sciences from Arizona State University. Originally pre-med, I studied and took the MCAT and worked as a cancer Research Associate at Genentech, Inc. in South San Francisco during my gap year. Before going to medical school, I wanted to understand the day-to-day of working in a medical office or hospital, so I left research to become a medical assistant. Although the job was incredibly rewarding in regards to patient care, a majority of the problems presented felt preventable.
I began looking into careers where I could be on the other end of healthcare. In essence - how can I stop these problems from happening in the first place? In all the articles I read, they all shared one common solution: exercise. I studied and received my Personal Training Certificate through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and began training in corporate environments at both Equinox and LifeTime Athletic. During this time I acquired more than 1,000+ hours working 1:1 with clients to help them achieve their goals. Additionally, I had the opportunity to continually learn from coaches of the highest level in regards to training, biomechanics, nutrition, communication, psychology, and business by attending weekend seminars and reading countless books and articles.
However, beside the certifications I have attained, the most influential resource I’ve learned from is YOU, the client. I’ve had the opportunity of working a multitude of incredible people from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences, and I want to be able to share this with you. My goal as a health practitioner is to help utilize elements of everything I’ve learned in order to optimize the proper program to help you move better, get stronger, and gain confidence in your body so that you can be present in your daily life.
